Hello,
So... here's a funny story. My 'proper' internet was supposed to be activated yesterday. 'Supposed to be' being the key words there. It has not been. So that's great. They told us it would be activated anytime before 23:59 on 22nd of February and yet... even by about 16:30... I had a sneaky feeling that they were full of shit. So I'm still stuck with this crappy 4G connection for now.
Anyway - What did you think of BlizzCon? Imo... and I don't mean to sound like a dick... I must admit I was kinda scratching my head wondering why it was even necessary. I appreciate that Blizz played it down and managed expectations ahead of time but that doesn't excuse the fact that they decided to randomly throw a BlizzCon at this moment in time. Could they not have just waited til November to barely announce anything?
I get that the event is meaningful to a lot of people. It's not just a game expo but a celebration for the community, etc. But it is starting to feel like that meme...
Literally no one:
Blizzard: "We're excited to talk about new projects we're working on soon"
This is one of those times where I feel massively out-of-touch with the wider community though because, as far as I can tell, most people thought it was a great BlizzCon and the only complaints I'm seeing are to do with a lack of further customisation options for the rest of Shadowlands. Which... escalated pretty quickly from my perspective. Went from absolutely no one talking about customisation options to suddenly everyone complaining about customisation options. It's alright though. Probably blow over in about 3 days or something.
I'm such a cynical, grumpy old man in these posts, aren't I?
Hope you enjoy the new vid. Thanks, as always, for your support. And I'll see ya in the next early access post.
