Sewing Room Illustration Final + All Process

At long last!! This took me far longer than I expected it would, and I hated it for MOST of the time I spent working on it. Though I know CLIP will serve me far better than PS has, it's really frustrating getting the hang of a new program! I really lost steam after finishing the inks, especially. So I figured if I already wasn't thrilled with the piece, it would be a good one to experiment with when I colored it.

And I...actually really dig it! I'm sure you can tell I'm not as experienced with painterly brushes as I am with cell shading, but I had way more fun rendering this than I usually do, lol. I don't know if I'll stick with this style for the next illustration, go back to my normal rendering style, or try something else new, but we'll see when we get there!

December's sketchbook will be uploaded by this weekend, and I'll have a poll out for my next illustration later this month. Thanks for being here, as always!

EDIT: I can’t remember if I said so previously, but these characters’ names are Shamil (he/him) and Färit (they/she)! They’re supporting characters in Map of the Heart ✨
