I imagined this scene as if the girl was torturing the balloon in front of someone's eyes, but she is out of frame and probably suffering from the inevitable end the balloon will do. The girl seems to have a defiant, winking look, but at the same time decisive and cruel ... and personally the effect is intriguing, moreover the choice not to show who is watching the scene, helps to identify, and places you, as a spectator of this act halfway between sensuality and cruelty.
