Hello!

Here’s the latest version of the Transfigure 3D demo! We are at E now. E stands for Erotic! 

Graphic improvements are the primary focus of this update.

In a previous post I mentioned some of the graphic improvements and size reductions so that is a major plus in this version. It weighs in about 400 megabytes now down from over 950 for the previous version! I still have optimizations for the backgrounds to do so that will also add some additional savings in the coming versions.

I ended up making Julie’s eyes a bit smaller and flattening her forehead a bit. She looks good in a ponytail so I am going with that for some of the early game. I also reduced Taylor’s iris size in future renders to make her look a bit less cartoony (an example render is the “adding” folder, however most assets use the old style). I am also in the process of upgrading a lot of the background artwork into modern 3D scenes as well as fixing errors I’ve noticed in the current selection. I don’t like having to redo things over and over again but I’m enough of a perfectionist that I get annoyed about errors if I am aware of them. I still have a couple minor issues to fix like some floating buttons and that kind of thing.

Examples include Mitch’s alley CG. I have reshot the end renders, fixing the weird wreath of hair on Taylor’s neck (shown above) as well as changing the “adult fluids” textures for a more realistic finish. I apologize for letting obvious flaws like that pass, I’ll try to be more attentive in the future.

The asylum CG in this version will probably get redone at some point too since I wanted a different outfit style closer to the html version. I also want to have more detail in these graphics including some extra body hair and some adjustments for more realistic penetration and more, ahem, “adult fluids”.

I slightly changed the animation display as well so the text box is hidden. At some point I will test looping the animations since a lot of readers seem to want them. You can use the mouse wheel to rotate back and forth through the text and CG. It animates some of the assets which is kind of cool.

Because I changed the default format of assets within the game from .png to .webp there may be a few legacy bugs that will pop up because I think Python uses the old script in loaded save games. Hitting reload will load the new unbugged script. That’s just an FYI - I think it should only affect the animations.

My to do list for the demo is finally shrinking down. I expect the next update will have all or almost all of the demo’s intended content. At that point I will release some survey polls and use that feedback to decide if it is ready for public consumption or if we need a couple more releases to polish and improve the visual novel’s presentation.

Aside from the last few missing assets and voice overs, if anyone encounters any bugs be sure to let me know.
