Dev Report - New Character Models and Cute Cosplay

The Ren’Py demo development is progressing well. This month I’ve done hundreds of test renders and experiments to produce more complete graphics. There is a lot of familiarization, learning, and mistake fixing but I'm happy with the pace.

I tested several different background styles and decided that since I now have the equipment and means, I might as well go for the best looking option even if it is more expensive.

I’ve been able to successfully create some decent CGs. I’ve included an example of Samantha’s introduction picture. This is hopefully the standard that includes high definition lights, skins, characters, and 3D environments.

I’ve already replaced and edited the starting visual novel graphics numerous times but I am starting to change from placeholders to more permanent images. Everything will be in flux for a long time yet but I want to have the intro complete in the next month or so with a few endings and a decent block of content with consistent quality.

Deter’s graphic style has been largely completed. He has a new mustache and better skin textures. You can see the side by side difference. I think I’m going with the slightly darker hair color.

Next we have Lucas’ character model up for comment. I have a couple surprises in the story with Lucas so I am trying to make his model and others with these thoughts in mind.

I also tested some eye systems designed to make the eyes brighter and more wet and realistic looking. I included an example with YP Taylor while I was messing around with different hairstyles to hide her fivehead.

I’ve also included two of my favorite renders so far, cat girl Taylor and magical girl Taylor. I think the cat girl pic pretty much sums up Transfigure. It’s cute, funny, and sexy. Or maybe I’m just a birdbrain but it made me laugh.

I am merging html updates to make a 5 year anniversary edition (the 5 year is the 24th). I have some stuff blowing up in my personal life so I’m not 100% sure I’ll finish it by the 24th but I will do my best to finish it this month even if it takes a week of late nights.
