Hi!
My goal for this month is to release two html updates and answer one of the key 3D questions blocking me from producing fully complete CG, mainly what I am doing for backgrounds. There are essentially four choices, 2D backgrounds (pictures), HDRI backgrounds, full 3D backgrounds, and blurred / bokeh or a combination.
Writing wise, I made a list of about a dozen early dead ends and have been filling them in. This week it was Drew and some progress towards some fairly simple endings. (ie focus on the mystery > solve the mystery.)
I have continued my quest to sort through as many assets as possible to pick those which are useful. This has led to the creation of some characters for Transfigure and other projects.
For starters we have the delectable Ariana Mucho. The final version might change some celeb names slightly to give me more of a defense if I get sued.
Then we have the new updated Drew Drachmann model. I got frustrated with the first one and found it difficult to make Drew look less evil and balance the facial features to make him look approximately the right age. The new one looks more realistic and has better textures (in my opinion, let me know yours!).
Next up we have the as yet unnamed heroine from Prison Nurse, an upcoming Tango Fiction game that will be released after Transfigure. I really like her look. Red hair + babe + braid = win.
In carrying on that theme I added a character named Karine to the background character list.
The sapphire eyed woman in the suit is from an upcoming Tango Fiction comic, Pod Girl. This will be one of the first comics I make since it is already written and can be produced with minimal effort. The basic story is that a human warship discovers a mysterious pod lost in space. Upon retrieval, it appears to contain a single human female whose provocative presence is quite a shock to the ship’s 150 predominantly male crew members.
Last up we have an adult character based on Youjo Senki’s Tanya Dugerechaff. I have no idea what I am going to do with her but I think I captured a bit of that mesmerizing gaze.
Let me know what you think! Lots of cool stuff is on the way!
