Working with BetterHelp

Last week I received an email from our contact with BetterHelp who suggested that we hold off on plugging their online counseling service (BetterHelp) until a controversy they're in settles down. Basically their website had legalese written in fine print which excused them from any responsibility for the quality of the therapists/counselors. In so many words, 'whether or not our service is provided by licensed professionals isn't on us.' Even though, BetterHelp actually has a really sound interview process to vet licensed counselors and therapists.

Here's a video by Phil DeFranco explaining things more clearly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1eVfq1PTn4

Yesterday I spoke with the BetterHelp contact again, his name is Aaron. He shared with me that things are in the clear. Impressive letter from their founder: https://medium.com/@alonmatas/when-betterhelp-found-itself-in-a-youtube-controversy-3fd472229a4e

I planned to move forward in partnering with them -- they consented to sponsor a video about the harms of anti-abortion legislation!?! but there is still some concern in the office about the controversy harming Sexplanations.

This is where you come in. What do you think? You can select as many responses as you'd like. And comment if there are other thoughts I didn't cover.

THANK YOU!!
