Kaydence groaned quietly as someone else slipped into line behind her, her hands tightening around her bag, her bottom wiggling in her now cool, soggy diaper. She should have known, with as busy as this place was, that she wouldn't be able to simply waltz up to the counter... She hadn't really thought about it much, since she wasn't checking anything out, now that she'd finished up all the work she'd come here to do.

It wasn't until she went to put the books she was using away, toddling down the aisles in the diaper she'd wet a couple times, glad to not have to interrupt her writing to get up and go to the bathroom, that she realized not all of her clothes had been returned to her. Of course they hadn't; it made her feel all the more ridiculous that she'd just accepted this diaper, not given it a second thought. Now, she was about to head back to campus, back to her room, and she didn't have her panties to change into!

There was no way she was going to toddle across campus to her dorm like this! Her dress did a decent job of hiding the padding, yet she still wasn't about to run the risk that somebody could overhear the crinkling, or notice a slight bulge... Anyone who had experience babysitting, or with younger siblings, had a decent chance to recognize that, or the way she was walking...

Not to mention her roommate! Felicity was definitely going to be in their room, feeling sorry for herself... There wouldn't be any privacy there for getting changed, and while she could shut herself in one of the stalls in the communal bathroom, she'd have to get the diaper out to the trash cans eventually, and with it being Saturday, even one so close to finals, she anticipated a lot of people around, any one of which could pop into the bathroom as she made her way out of the stall, used diaper in hand...

So, really, she'd had little choice but to join the long line of people waiting to check out books, seeing the librarian working at one of the computers ahead, praying that she was at the tail end of the rush, and nobody would show up behind her to overhear what she was going to have to say, then silently cursing every time somebody did.

If she'd known she was going to have to do this, she'd have at least brought a book along. She knew she was going to be coming back, after all, so she'd be able to return it, and she'd have felt less out of place as she stood there. Maybe people would think she had her books in her bag already... Or maybe they'd seen her, toddling back to story-time in her diaper, and guessed, correctly, that she was still in one now.

Finally, she reached the front of the line, her eyes darting nervously between 'her' librarian, and the other one at the desk, mentally urging hers to move faster, to finish scanning the pile of books in front of her before the other, so...

"Next," the other one said.

Kay froze, staring at him blankly. Neither of the librarians there were particularly old, but he seemed even younger, and cuter, and the last thing she wanted to do was tell him that she needed to go down to the laundry room to fetch the underwear she'd had an accident in. She had, briefly, considered going there on her own... She remembered the 'Staff Only' sign on the door, however, and she really didn't want to get in trouble, and risk being banned for breaking the rules.

He nodded at her, as if to confirm that he was, indeed, talking to her. Kaydence swallowed, looking around anyway, her palms feeling sweaty, her diaper feeling so much wetter, and more humiliating, and...

"Oh, I think she's waiting for me," the other librarian spoke up mercifully, as if she were reading Kaydence's mind, although, to be fair, it wasn't hard to guess what she might want, when the woman was the one who hadn't given the girl her panties back. "Come wait over here, dear."

Dutifully, Kaydence stepped behind the girl the librarian was checking out, letting someone else go to the empty spot. After another few moments, the girl was finished, and Kay was able to move up to the counter, glancing at the name plaque in front of the librarian's station, finally, after having been diapered - and changed, in her sleep - by the woman, knowing her name.

"What can I do for you?" the woman smiled down at her. "Did you find some books?"

"Umm... N-Not exactly, Ms. Anne," Kaydence blushed, feeling very conscious of how many people were behind her, and around her, especially the other librarian. By the same token, however, she didn't want to hold up the line any more than she already had. "I-I just... I-I kinda need something... From... downstairs?"

"Oh, no!" Ms. Anne exclaimed, much louder than Kaydence's voice, which had been barely above a whimper. "Again, dear? This is why you have your rule for story-time."

"N-No, not that," Kaydence shook her head, her face burning up, positive everyone would know what that meant. It was a lie, technically, but there was no way Ms. Anne could know that... Right? "I-It is connected to that... I need something back, that you took away because of that rule?" She was doing her best to be cryptic, yet she was worried the woman would have no clue what she was talking about.

Thankfully, she did. "You have those back already, sweetie," the librarian told her with a smirk.

Kaydence wiggled her bottom, confirming that she definitely wasn't wearing big girl panties. "I-I don't think so, ma'am," she said, not wanting to be rude, or to contradict her anyway.

"Did you check all the pockets in your little bag there?" Ms. Anne suggested.

"I-I think so," Kaydence mumbled, but, as she opened up her bag to double check, she realized she hadn't. She didn't even have to unzip it to see something in there. "Oh."

"Is that all you needed?" Ms. Anne chuckled, Kaydence nodding, sputtering out an embarrassed, "Thanks," and hurrying to the bathroom to change before going back to campus, feeling very much like a silly little girl, one who probably shouldn't be trusted outside of diapers.

Sure enough, when she returned to her dorm room after a quick supper, Felicity was still there, possibly in the exact same spot she had been when Kaydence left that morning. "Hey," she said, feeling awkward, both in the face of her roommate's sadness, and about the way she'd spent her day, as if, somehow, the other girl would know by looking at her. "How are you feeling?" Felicity shrugged. "Did you at least eat?"

"Sure," Felicity answered, though she didn't sound particularly convincing.

"It's gonna be okay, Felicity," Kaydence promised. "He's just a guy..."

She really didn't know what else to say... To be perfectly honest, she'd never had a real boyfriend herself, a fact she half expected Felicity to throw in her face as a counter to her lame attempts at comfort. She'd already done it once, when the wound had been more fresh, but she'd either seen how much the words had stung Kaydence, or she was at the point where she didn't even have the strength to do that.

"You really need to get out of the room," Kaydence told her. "You're not going to get over this cooped up in here."

"I don't know where to go," Felicity said. It was a start, anyway, an answer of more than a wordless grunt or a single word. "Everywhere around here reminds me of him!"

Kaydence stared down at her, flopped on her bed, an idea slowly starting to form in her mind. Was it a good idea? It was hard to say... She had no clue how her roomie would react to it; she would never have guessed how she, herself, would have reacted to it until it happened. It had definitely cheered her up, however, so there was a chance it would do the same for her friend. That, or Felicity would hate her, and make fun of her for so much as considering it, much less playing along.

And, on a selfish note, she really did want to do it again. As mortifying as the thought of returning to school in the diaper had been, she'd definitely missed it on the walk back, and as she sat in the cafeteria, and now... There was something about the softness of it, the bulk, that was so soothing, so comforting...

"Do you have plans tomorrow?" she asked, and, of course, Felicity shook her head. "Well, you do now."

Things went wrong almost as soon as she woke up, finding one of Felicity's friends, Savannah, there. "Morning, sleepy head," the girl chuckled, Kaydence blushing, pulling her blankets up higher around herself, feeling self-conscious. Savannah was so cool, so pretty, so popular... She was the exact sort of person she would never have wanted to know about what had happened the day before, or what she had planned for today.

"H-Hey," she replied nervously. "Wh-What's up?"

"I told her you had something special planned," Felicity spoke up. "And I thought I'd feel better if I had her there, too. That's okay, isn't it?"

Kaydence wanted to shake her head and say no, but her mind came up empty when it came to possible excuses she could give as to why she didn't want the other girl around. They grabbed a quick breakfast in the dining hall, Kay frantically attempting to think of a way to get rid of Savannah, or something else she could do, while the other two girls grilled her about what they were going to be doing.

The truth of it was, she didn't know anything that had made her feel better than story-time, at least not for quite a long time. There were no good replacements for it, so, instead, she was going to have to simply hope that she could think of a way to make Savannah leave before it started. She thought she had a chance, too, when she saw the disgusted look on the girl's face when they arrived at their destination.

"The library?" she scoffed. "That's your big idea? What is this, some kind of study group?"

"Yeah, something like that," Kay latched onto that. "I know we don't have any of the same classes together, so I guess there really isn't much of a point in you being here, huh? Sorry! I just didn't want Felicity to fall too far behind, because I know she hasn't felt up to studying lately, and..."

"Why couldn't we do this on campus?" Felicity asked.

"I-I thought the walk would do you good," Kaydence improvised. "Fresh air and all. Come on, let's go in. You can head back if you want, Savannah, no hard feelings."

But Savannah followed them in. Kaydence saw Ms. Anne working at the front desk and ducked her head, attempting to hide behind the much taller Savannah, hoping the librarian wouldn't notice her. They were early enough to get a table, and thankfully Kaydence had grabbed her bag, with her computer still in it, so she could pull up the notes she'd taken on it... It would be difficult to maintain her story of bringing Felicity here to study for long, however, when she hadn't brought any textbooks, and nothing at all for the classes only Felicity was in...

"It's nice to see you again so soon." Kaydence jumped at the sound of Ms. Wendy's voice, squirming and blushing in her seat, feeling like that silly little girl again instantly. "I'm sorry to say, though, we don't usually have story-time on Sundays."

"Story-time?" Savannah smirked.

"Th-That's not what we're here for," Kaydence shook her head, forcing a chuckle. "I-I was helping with story-time for the little kids the other day," she told the girls.

"You certainly were," Ms. Anne smiled. "Ms. Wendy tells me you were a big help!" Kaydence's cheeks lit up, recalling how she'd sat there, reading out words from picture books now and then, as if she were a pre-schooler, not a college girl. "You know, with your friends here, we might be able to set something up, just for you..."

"O-Oh, no," Kaydence's head shook more frantically. "W-We're really not..."

"Are you sure?" Ms. Anne knelt down next to Kay's chair, getting more on her level. "I think they might enjoy it, too."

Kay nibbled her bottom lip, glancing over at the librarian. Did she see Savannah?! There was no way she could think someone like that would want to be read stories, much less wear a diaper! But Ms. Anne was so much smarter than her... Did she see something she didn't? "Y-You really think so?"

"I really do," Ms. Anne smiled, taking Kaydence by the hand once she'd gathered up her things and put them in her bag. "Since they're with you, I can only assume they'll have to follow the same rules. I wouldn't want any puddles."

"Puddles?" Savannah raised an eyebrow.

"Come along, girls," Ms. Anne beckoned them on, leading Kaydence back to the basement door. "Let's get you ready." They started with Kaydence, of course. She froze for a moment, not daring to look at either the changing table, with the diaper Ms. Anne had picked out for her and spread open, or Felicity and Savannah, knowing they had to be judging her, even before she was in the thing. A swat on the backside, however, got her moving, scrambling up onto the table, Savannah giggling as she watched Kay being diapered.

"Well, then," Ms. Anne said as she helped Kaydence down, adjusting her skirt, "since you found it so funny, I think you can go next."

"Oh, no, I don't think so," Savannah sniffed. "Come on, Felicity, I'm going to take you shopping or something, and your weirdo roommate can do... Whatever this is."

Kaydence's stomach dropped, and she was positive her life at college was about to be over, that Savannah would tell her many friends all about this. When Savannah grabbed Felicity's hand, however, the girl didn't budge. "I don't know," she replied softly. "If Kaydence thinks this will help..." Kaydence nodded. "I want to give it a try."

Savannah wrinkled her nose with a doubtful, "Really?", but, after another second, she sighed. "Okay, fine. Why not?"

In no time, all three of them were diapered up, being led back up the stairs and sat down in a circle as Ms. Anne picked out a book to read to them. "Sorry, dear, Ms. Wendy doesn't come in on Sundays," she smiled at Kaydence. "I hope I'll do all right."

Kay nodded, settling in, feeling herself get enchanted, quickly forgetting to check in on the other two to see how they were reacting, though the sour expression Savannah started with didn't give her much hope. By the time Ms. Anne had gotten through the first book, however, and asking if they wanted another, Felicity was smiling bashfully and nodding.

"I'm afraid that's all I have time for today," Ms. Anne told them after the second. "I'm going to have to go run the check-out desk in a minute... But I have enough time to take care of changes."

Kaydence tugged at her skirt nervously, wondering how the librarian had known she'd wet herself. Was she that obvious about it?! She bit her bottom lip, staring at the floor, expecting the other two to make fun of her.

Instead, Ms. Anne helped Felicity to her feet, giving her bottom a playful swat. "I don't know if you would have made it through a third book anyway!" she teased. There was a twinge of jealousy, seeing Ms. Anne hold Felicity's hand, but it was short-lived as she heard her roommate giggle, sounding so much happier than she had since the break-up... Since before it, really.

That left Kaydence to trail along behind them with Savannah, who she still couldn't look in the eye. She probably wouldn't be too mean, now that she'd seen how much this had helped Felicity... But Kay was certain the girl wasn't happy about spending part of her weekend in diapers, and she could easily make life for her miserable back at school.

"You really are soaked, aren't you?" Ms. Anne smiled down at Felicity as she wiggled on the changing table. "Would you like your big girl panties back? Or do you need another diaper?"

Kaydence was glad she hadn't had to go first this time; she had no idea how she would have answered. She definitely wanted to keep wearing diapers, just like she had yesterday, but even more than her fear of someone finding out, she was terrified of what Felicity, and especially Savannah, would think of her if she said yes.

Felicity, on the other hand, didn't seem to have that problem. "Diapee!" she squealed, taking Kaydence by surprise.

"Good choice," Ms. Anne winked. She cleaned Felicity up, taping her into a fresh diaper, then turned to Kaydence, giving her a check. "Soggy," she confirmed. "What about you? What do you want to wear?"

"D-Diapers," she admitted, the response much easier after seeing Felicity's.

That left only Savannah, watching it all with her arms crossed. "And you?" Ms. Anne asked.

"I don't need a change," Savannah shook her head.

"Of course," Ms. Anne gave her a knowing look. "But would you like a spare for later?"

Kaydence saw a hint of pink flash across Savannah's cheek. "M-Maybe," she shrugged, as nonchalantly as she could manage. "I-In case one of them needs it," she glanced at Kaydence and Felicity.

"Of course," Ms. Anne repeated with a smirk. "I'll put it in your friend's bag, along with everyone's panties, so you can get them back whenever you want." She picked the bag up from where she'd set it before Kaydence's first diapering, doing as she'd promised and handing it back to her. "All three of you were so well-behaved... I hope to see all you again."

Kaydence had a feeling Felicity would definitely want to come with her for the next official story-time, but she still wasn't sure about Savannah. It was interesting that the girl hadn't asked for her panties back right away, and didn't do it when they were back upstairs, either, and could have used the library's bathroom, like Kaydence had the day before. She didn't even do it before they left, making their way back to campus, Kaydence far more confident about being in a diaper there when she was with two other girls in the same padding.

Savannah did take her panties back when they returned to Kaydence and Felicity's room, though she stuffed them into her purse, and didn't run off to change into them immediately, even then. Kaydence decided to take a chance, slipping the diaper out of her bag.

"Do you want this, too?" she asked.

Savannah shook her head. "No," she said. "I'm sure one of you two are going to need it more than me."

Kaydence paused, wondering if she'd misjudged. She might have cheered Felicity up, but had she done it at the cost of her and Savannah's friendship? Was Savannah going to tell everyone that both of the girls in this room were big babies?

"I, uh..." Savannah blushed slightly, "I do hope you'll let me join your 'study group' again next time, though."

Kaydence smiled, a sense of relief washing over her. "Definitely," she told her. "We wouldn't want you to fall behind, now, would we?"

Savannah giggled and shook her head. "I think I have a lot of studying to catch up on..."
