I just want to share some updates and ramblings today. I feel like I finally settled into a nice rythme with the game and my new job. I've been working on myself a lot through gym, meditation and proper scheduling and it's paying off in my personal life and in the progress on the game.
I am making good progress on the streaming service gameplay and writing. The player gets hired and chooses an assistant through 3 unique interviews just like in maih. After, the player can choose which departments to start first. So far I only have movies and shows but it'll contain things like pron, music, marketing, financial, casting etc. Each department either unlocks features (like making movies) or new ways to enhance the business (like marketing) and of course each department is run by 1 of 3 celebrity managers. This time around, each of these will have a unique interview process that I'm really excited for. I want the hiring process to be fun, not just a generic one click done thing.
I also decided on a new strategy for doing films and possibly shows too. Using the new time system, things are now on a schedule. Monday is for script readings where the player cán decide what movie gets made that week (if he doesn't intervene, things are chosen automatically by the assigned manager). Tuesdays are for casting where obviously fun things can happen. Then a few days for shooting, marketing and a release day with a potential release party. Repeat next week. This will allow a more fluid, fun way to intervene in the movie making process and all its aspects. Of course movies aren't made in a week, but we have to keep gameplay flowing nicely and spending a year on one film simply isn't fun.
All this is laced with lots of fun sex and flirtiness. The best friend character acts like a guide as well as a wingwoman throughout, helping the player get laid as much as possible in a fun, casual way. The sister also plays a large role in the story (sex stuff fully optional for the ones not into that) along with the friend and I feel like this really makes everything more fun, especially now that players can freely pick their favorite girl for these position.
All this is still far from done but the mechanics are in place and working surprisingly wel. It will release this month almost certainly, but be prepared for some placeholder texts (not a lot and no dead ends like in maih1). I marked these properly for myself in the game files and will be filling them in asap, but there's just a lót of writing and I can't do it all if I want to hit this months release window.
