Moths and Crows

I had *just* enough time before work yesterday to paint for half an hour so I went easy on myself and did moths. I worked from references to push myself into making different shaped moths and trying to paint both sides. I'm also trying to make my Instagram cohesive by staying in an autumnal color scheme.
This painting didn't seem quite Instagram worthy but it might be if I go back and add more details later.

Today I tried painting crows.



Much more difficult and definitely not Instagram worthy. But I think I started getting somewhere with the close up in the bottom left hand corner.

Tomorrow I think I'll try sketching crows with the water soluble pen and then using watercolors to color/accent it.
