My competitiveness is probably my worst feature and no one stokes it like my ex-best friend. We were very competitive when we *liked* each other, and I am also quite good at grudge holding, so the only thing that keeps me from constant hulk-rage is just not knowing anything that 's going on in her life. Especially since we are now both freelance writers.

However, I was going to pitch to a publication that I heard (years ago) she worked for. So I checked her twitter bio to make sure I wouldn't accidentally end up pitching to her. 

I found out that, while my most recent essay was a soul baring piece about one of the most momentous experiences of my life, her most recent piece is about (I swear to god I'm not making this up) the color green.

And I'm pretty sure she got paid more than me.

So, you know, fuck everything.
