Of course, any and all feedback is greatly appreciated. 

I did end up censoring the story a bit. The introduction to this world was just shaping up to be darker than I initially wanted it to be. 

I think the end result is still just as effective. A look into the mind of someone whose entire way of life has been destroyed.
