Hey folks, how's it going?
Trying to keep you all posted here so... the first video is now scripted.
I've been writing for two days and decided to time the stuff I'd got so far because it's... a lot of words. And it's at least 40 minutes. It's everything up to the end of the Kun-Lai Summit / Temple of the White Tiger stuff.
I don't want the video to be much longer than that and it actually seems like a pretty good place to end it (All the levelling zones summarised, Xuen grants access to the Vale, Taran Zhu storms off seething with anger). So that means the second episode would be all of the end-game / 5.x patch content.
Im also thinking I'm gonna make this in a much more 'conventional lore video' type of way. So a lot of footage and images rather than animating the entire thing cos... that's too much! I know there's technically no deadline on this but ideally I want to keep things within a 2-3 week window.
So Hiru has kindly provided me with a whole bunch of b-roll Mists of Pandaria footage which I will be sure to credit him for.
I've rewritten the start of the script to make the video more consistent - As much as I'd love to do scenes with dialogue and voice acting and stuff; it's just not sensible to take that approach. It would take far too long to get videos out!
But yeah - things are going somewhat smoothly. I am hoping to get the script recorded and the audio 'treated' either today or tomorrow. And get started on actually editing the damn thing Friday. It's probably gonna be an 'all of next week jobby' in terms of editing tbh. But hopefully I will have something to share fairly soon.
