Poll results and the next steps

Hi guys!

So let’s start with the results of the polls, they are pretty interesting:

There are several changes to our workflow that I would like to make after researching these polls and some data that I recorded from my own observations, too:

  1. We will start to prioritize releasing some animated sexual content to the gallery ahead of the levels with the main storyline. I spent about 40-60% (!) of development time on the level design/cutscene stuff before and it was one of the reasons why September’s Agent version release was held back - we had all sex scenes integrated and ready, but there were some delays on level design/music part, etc. It seems that a very small part of the audience cares about the plot, according to the poll, so the next Agent versions may have some sex animations present in the gallery ahead of the levels where they will be unlocked. It will allow keeping frequent regular builds without sudden delays and make each new level more polished without a rush while delivering fixes and sex animations that you want to see;
  2. We spent too many funds on 3D decorations sometimes, I guess. I will look more for suitable existing assets for each task to make it cheaper and faster, also I found some level building assets from Asset Store which after doing some stylization and fixes will be a perfect match to build the Paradise (Stage 3 levels). There will be a separate large post about the Paradise after a new public demo release, too;
  3. Ming Chan won the vote, so she will be the first playable girl other than Kira implemented in the game. I hope that we will deliver some sex animations with her with a new Agent build at the end of this month and her actual playable character will appear somewhere in the next month with one of the first levels of Stage 3. Basic VA set for each playable girl usually costs me like 100-150$ at least if the VAs didn’t raise the prices, so we’ll start with her and then we’ll introduce other girls into the game depending on financial support later. Our resources are limited so we have to prioritize what to implement first all the time.

The prologue is in the process of remaking according to the Agents’ desires right now. I aim for 2D “motion graphics” style - if you remember WoW: Warbringers videos or the cutscenes from the game called BattleTech - they are videos done with motion graphics style. We have more simple prologue scenes than those games’ cutscenes are, of course, but it will look much better than existing images, that’s what I can promise for sure.

Remaking the prologue and fixing several bugs are my main tasks before releasing a new public demo to attract more supporters. I hope that it will happen in 7-10 days. We will have a new HCG poll after that, as well as the post about Paradise. Hopefully, the next Agent build with several Ming’s animations will be released at the end of this month because we don’t have to release Stage 3 levels with it. I also would like to fix some rendering artifacts that appear on “Low” settings at some places of the levels before releasing new public demo:

There is one small change to the campaign conditions that I have to do. It will not affect current or former patrons and it will be in effect starting from 16 of October (tomorrow). New supporters which started to support us from 16 of October will have to accumulate at least 10$ of pledge lifetime to get the final version of the game after its release. I keep the data of supporters backed up in several locations other than Patreon, so you shouldn’t worry that your data will be lost. Lots of high-quality hentai games use this pledge lifetime and if we aim to achieve the same level of quality or better - which means to order more art, voiceover and other assets - we’ll need more stable and predictable growth to deliver what we promised. I ran this project in debt for a long time, the situation got better during the last two months - thanks for your support again, guys!

P.S. I noticed that we have some supporters with a pledge lifetime over 50$, which is extremely cool - I will talk with an artist regarding some special feature for veteran supporters in the near future. You see, the “Veteran Agents” button is present in the main menu because of some special reason ;)
