Hello all you wonderful supporters!
I've been slacking on the development updates, so let's jump right into it.
I've been thinking a lot about the game and how to move things forward. And though it will be difficult, I've come to the decision that the best way to do that is to start over. There are lots of things I think would be greatly improved with some changes, and since I don't want to deal with trying to not break the game by implementing changes, I'm instead going to just start from scratch.
First major change is I want to expand the cast. I love our four girls, but I think it would be better if I added more for even more variety. I've got a few ideas, for example adding a small little sister type character. I think a girl who starts more pudgy would also be an interesting addition to see how the growth would affect someone like that. I could maybe even add a transfer student with huge boobs, like some serious honkers, and see how much those badonkers can grow.
Second major change I think would help make things easier for me would be to make the protagonist silent. I'd still have the player able to make choices and respond to the girls, but cutting out all the protagonist's dialogue outside of responses would really reduce the total amount of dialogue I need to write. It would put more focus on the girls and how they act and react to the player's choices. This would mean I'd need to add more dialogue choices for the player to give the cast something to react off of, but I think it would be a nice improvement and also make the writing easier.
Third major change I'm considering, and this would be a big one, would be to shift to a more fantasy style setting. This would let me add magic to the world, along with more varied fantasy races. Sophia would be studying magic to make people grow instead of science (mana is stored in the boobs after all), which makes it so I don't need to try and scientifically justify how things work. It's just magic! A fantasy setting would also let me make the Academy more like a battle harem academy, which would let me add in a combat system to the game for additional gameplay mechanics. I could also make this an isekai setting... People love their harem power fantasy isekai...
Those are the major changes I've been thinking about. It's a lot of stuff to change, I know, but I think it would make for an interesting game! It's going to be a ton of work starting from scratch though...
