Bad Space goes to the movies

Exciting news, team!

Some months ago a small studio in Canada reached out to me and asked if they could have a crack at filming my comic The Suit.

Since then, despite COVID related setbacks, they have really started chugging along on it. I asked if they would mind me sharing the news with you, and they fired me some concept art to share - and here it is.

Gotta say, it’s trippy stuff - and has a seventies book cover sensibility to it - which I love, as that was a part of the inspiration for my comics.

Some of this art is apparently for the backstory, which won’t appear in the film, but is helping them to flesh out the character. I’ve had a read of the script, and it looks really promising - short, punchy space horror - just like the comic.

I’ve actually been approached about filming this comic several times, and kind of wish all of them could do it. I really like it when artists riff off each other’s work, and I hate our restrictive copyright laws. But I’ll stop whinging and just admit it’s great to see new art coming along, inspired by something I did.

I’ll keep you up to speed as more material comes my way, but I’m thrilled I can share this with you finally.
