«Persecute artist» 🤪 Rebecca Guay is a very unusual MTG artist, whose works have a unique classic style due to the intensive use of watercolor! After 1995, she joined the permanent staff of artists at Wizards of the Coast, releasing from 3 to 12 works for each release! However, in 2002, the new art director Jeremy Cranford considered Rebecca's style somewhat inappropriate for the upcoming release, so she decided to leave the company 🥺 Disagreements between Rebecca and the art director were reflected in the jokingly release of "Unhinged" (2004) - the card "Persecute Artist", which turned out very funny! Now Rebecca is engaged in her creativity and teaches at a college, and her works for MTG continue to be reprinted with enviable popularity, delighting her fans and inspiring artists around the world!
