I went to play billiards today for the first time in my life 😳 (yes, I know, never held a cue before lol). I honestly didn’t even plan on going, I just got invited kinda last minute and said yes because… why not try something new once in a while, right? 😅
So I threw on this oversized jacket that made me feel like a secret agent (or like a kid who stole her dad's suit hahaha) and somehow ended up in this dimly lit, slightly chaotic, VERY loud billiard place. I swear everyone there looked like they knew exactly what they were doing and I was just standing there holding the stick like it was a lightsaber or something😭
At first I was so awkward I just kept walking around the table pretending I was “thinking about strategy” when in reality I was trying to remember which ball was mine😂 Also, can we talk about how heavy that cue is?? I lowkey thought my wrist was gonna break when I tried to hit the ball properly.
There was this one moment where I finally got the white ball to hit something and it actually worked and I felt like a literal pool goddess for two seconds… until I accidentally knocked over someone’s beer bottle while celebrating. 😬 Classic me.
But honestly, it was so much fun!! I didn’t expect to enjoy it this much, even though I was obviously terrible. It just felt nice to do something totally out of my usual bubble. I’m always either editing videos, studying, or doing yoga, so this was such a weird little detour from my usual day — and I kinda loved it.
Also, I looked super serious in my outfit but inside I was just a giggling mess every time I missed a shot by a mile 😭 Should I go again sometime? Maybe I’ll actually pot a ball on purpose next time 👀
Anyway. I smell like chalk now. And my back hurts. But 10/10 experience 😌💘
