In this post below I will describe what is happening with the game and how it is doing at the moment.
For start, the graphics have been updated in the game. This is the most noticeable change. There is nothing significant in terms of mechanics, some things were rewritten, and some broke at the last moment and a lot had to be cut. In general, this time it turned out about 2 times less than I expected to do, but I wanted to do a lot of work at the same time almost every day ...
I also wanted to do sounds, but we don’t allocate time for this yet. It goes to the eyeballs on the list of priority tasks and those that were previously planned. The next update, most likely, will also be in 2 months. There is a lot of work and I can't do everything in time, and if I try to do something quickly, then something breaks down somewhere. Also, processing has a serious impact on health, unfortunately, and caffeine can spoil everything. So, from all of the above, I want to say the main thing - it will not work faster, no matter how I would like (
The main task at the moment is to polish what we already have in the video. This is an excerpt from a location and one level I did this morning. Each location has a set of unique mechanics. Some of them have been done, and some of them are blocked and they remain in development.
By 0.2.0 we should have sounds and a completely ready-made starting location with everything that is in it.
We also have a problem with game design and we constantly argue and decide which mechanics to promote, which ones to keep, and which ones to refuse, so we cannot accurately describe exactly what kind of project we will have. It is developed on the go without any rigid design document. Basically, we both only have a list of tasks that we set ourselves, and the result is a game.
We also made a Discord server. We almost always pay attention to reviews, comments and suggestions.
