Hello hello everyone! Hope your weekend is going most amazing, and we are here to make it even better! After all the recordings, re-recordings and re-re-recordings, the sound for Mel x Lawa: Part 1 is finally complete! We (and her!) are super excited to bring you this preview of her stream misadventures with Lawa! Hope u'll enjoy this 6 min sneak peek into her story! ❤️(˵^ ◡ ^˵)❤️

But before I dive into details - a huge huge THANK YOU to all of you! Your love and ideas truly moved me to keep pushing it all forward, trying new things, techniques and styles, and it's thanks to all of you that this collab was made possible in the first place! Now, onto the animation itself! (｡> ‿ ◕｡)❤️

This project, or better to say the first half of a planned 12 minute long animation, has been cooking for quite a while! Lots of stuff was new to us here, starting with pretty big amount of dialogue, ending with some tricky adventures of getting the right recordings from Mel! There were moments where I honestly considered releasing the animation without sound, or using someone else voice entirely. But the stars aligned, and at the last moment we got everything fully voiced by Melody herself just as we originally planned! ❤️ ٩(๑•̀ω•́๑)۶ ❤️

Initially, I thought that the dialogue will be the most tricky part of this animation. And while it's partially true, with, for example, the first scene taking about 10 days to finish (30 sec non-stop dialogue with all the gestures and poses), the true challenge was recording the additional noises and reactions for the smaller scenes. You see after Fischl x Slime we really got spoiled by Rii being with us 24/7, ready to record and re-record anything we need. It was really helpful with how picky we can be with "reaction noises" and stuff. And changing her to Melody, with super busy schedule and stuff, created some production and time challenges to say the least XD

But in the end of the day - it all worked out pretty good! The fun thing tho is - this "Part1" was never intended to have an "ending". It was supposed to end sometime after boobjob sequence, right before the "penetration" challenge, and allow us to jump into Part2 right away. But during all these sound delays, we kept rewatching and rethinking the structure, and eventually we realized that we can actually sneak in a climax scene without disrupting the pacing! And voila - Part 1 now has its own super juicy ending! ❤️ ٩(๑•̀ω•́๑)۶ ❤️

Still, even with the addition of the climax in the first half of this project, we are still planning to make it into a perfectly seamless ~12 minute animation (together with Part2) so don't worry there. And since most of the heavy dialogue scenes are now behind us, what’s left for Part2 is mostly action which will be much faster to animate! We are planning to jump on that after the Furina x HuTao release! ❤️ ٩(๑•̀ω•́๑)۶ ❤️
