The Amazon Basin, one of the largest wetlands on the planet, taking up a good chunk of the Amazon Rainforest, it was humid, filled with many deadly creatures like jaguars, and was the last place for someone unprepared to be rowing a boat down a river.

Yet that was exactly what one Renata Oliveira was doing in-between rowing her raft further and further from land, the scantily clad, made up, and quite rowdy Brazilian woman looking wildly out of place in amongst all the swamp life.

Her purpose? Well, more like she'd been made to come out here by her grandmother, who'd been paying far more attention to reports of the strange and unnatural than Renata had done for quite some time, she'd been raised to know about the paranormal by her, but as she got older, she spent less time listening to her grandma and more time partying, making music, thinking that all that stuff about folklore and magic was just fantasy, her relatives odd way of seeing the world around her.

Nevertheless, Ren couldn't quite find it in her heart to turn her grandmother down when she began telling her about disappearances in this area, people being dragged into the water by what they claimed was a giant snake, a Boiuna, a creature that was said to devour fishermen who entered its territory, or probably just about anyone who trespassed when Renata thought about it, after all, she wasn't a fisherman...Woman, did that mean she could just enter it's domain at will?

<"What am I saying? They probably just fell in"> Renata mused in her head, taking a moment to rest, adjusting her baseball cap to block the sun from her eyes.

 <"Just record yourself going down this strip for an hour or so, show grandma that there's nothing here, move on and get back to civilisation before your next gig>"
