Hey, yall. I felt like now would be a better time than ever for the first monthly update of the year.
First, I wanted to apologize if art has been slow this month. I spent a quite a bit of time working overtime at my day job during the first half of this month, so normally when I get home I'm too tired to do much of anything. And NOW, with what's happening in the US, it's kind of hard of me to focus on art properly because my brain keeps going, "You're in danger! You're in danger!" so, I've spent a lot of time being antsy, trying to get in contact with different organizations and setting up appointments and the like. I'm trying not to like, dump too much of my issues on yall, but my amplified feelings of frustration/depression/loneliness etc etc is kind of making it hard for me to create these past few days. Between not knowing how much longer I'm going to be in the country vs my parents not wanting to budge/prepare at all vs actually WANTING to emigrate somewhere else but not having anyone to really emigrate with, I just kind of feel like...I can't create until I know for sure what's going to happen. If that makes sense. Mind you, a good ~98% of my family are immigrants, so if suddenly they are denaturalized and I have to leave the country, I might be gone for a little bit... But, I'm still going to do my best to continue to work on projects until then. I'm just not doing so great mentally right now and I'm kind of all over the place is all.
Second, my waitlists are now open on Vgen! During times like these any extra financial support is greatly appreciated! And even if you can't afford a slot, then you can always tell a friend if they're looking for someone to commission. Slots will officially reopen on Monday, January the 27th and then close Monday, February the 3rd. Please keep an eye out for it!
Third, I think I have finally settled on what I want to do for monthly Patreon rewards. I was thinking of putting out character wallpapers, for like your phone. I would probably choose the character of the month based on their birthday or something, so yeah! At the end of the month, I will drop the Dropbox links so you guys can download the HQ versions and enjoy them to the fullest.
But, yeah! I think that's all from me tonite. Sorry if this update was a bit heavy, but I rather not sugarcoat things. Especially during times like this.
