Hello!

Wishing you a lovely August :) Apologies for the little delay with the July Lightroom Preset. I've been working really hard on the next video that was due yesterday, but has now (luckily) been postponed due to some changes that needed to be made, so today I had the chance to catch up here :)

July was a cool month. Mainly because I got to go on holiday with my family and visit some of my family that lives up north in Scotland. We stayed at my Granny's place near Inverness from where we went on a couple day trips such as Ullapool on the west or Durness on the north coast.

I shot a lot of photos in Scotland and will be picking up my negatives later today. I'm sooo looking forward to scanning them to see the results! You will of course also get to see them in future videos :D

However consequently the weeks before and after were quite intense. I'm sure you know what it's like before and after a holiday haha :,)
I'm currently working on a really cool video together with Polaroid. I got to visit a few local mountains to shoot some eeepic photos and footage. They're just not quite happy with the structure of my video yet so I'm editing that bit before publishing it.

Enough about July, let's talk about the Preset! "Rosarote Tage" is German for "pink days". I just like how it sounds in German and prefer it over the English version, so I decided to call the preset that haha.

As the name suggests it is quite pink and a mix of airy yet contrasty. When applied to bright photographs it tends to look quite dreamy with lifted shadows. However in scenes with actually dark shadows they will stay pretty dark resulting in some strong contrast. I recommend setting the White Balance to Daylight (5600K) and the Tint to 0 for this look. Additionally you might want to boost the Exposure slider. The preset will automatically boost it by half a stop, however in many of the example photos I've boosted it additionally up to +1,5 to get that bright and airy look.

As announced last month, I've not only attached the .xmp file for you but also a .dng file in case you use Lightroom mobile! :)

I hope you enjoy using this one. If you have any questions, feel free to leave them in the comments or write me a DM here on Patreon.

Wishing you a lovely week!
