Hello hello,
June is already over eh? Well that went very fast, for me at least. In mid-June I went on a hiking adventure with a friend, which was going to become a video. This past week now I was very busy finishing up that video, which you might have spotted on YouTube already by now :D
The past weeks have been very work-focused and so are the next two months going to be. I'm travelling to Scotland in two weeks to visit my family up north. So I will be taking a couple days off then, but that of course means that the other weeks will have to compensate.
Nevertheless I've of course made a new Lightroom preset for the month. This month's preset has a bit of a boring and simple name I must admit, but I think I prefer to call it functional naming :,D
The preset is based on an orange and teal look, but with a warmer touch, especially in the shadows. I didn't add any settings to the preview images this time, because I actually barely changed anything. I always kept the White Balance at daylight, so Temperature at 5600K and Tint at 0.
The only thing I played around with is the Exposure slider. When using this preset you can of course change whatever you like. However my personal recommendation for this preset is to use it for a bit of a low key warm look. Hence I didn't increase the Exposure much, instead I kept the photos just a little "too" dark, which adds to that evening feeling.
Also, in the past weeks I've received a couple questions concerning the use of my presets in LR Mobile. It appears that my presets are not compatible with .jpg images and my .xmp files don't seem to like to be imported into LR Mobile.
I didn't know about these difficulties up until recently, but now that I know of them, I've decided to change things a little. This preset should now be compatible with .jpg files too and in addition to the .xmp file I've now also attached a .dng file for you, which is apparently much easier to import into LR Mobile.
I hope this can help a few of you out! I'm going to go through the backlog of presets and replace them and add .dng files to the posts, but that will still take some time.
Anyway, I hope you find some use and some joy in this preset :)
Wishing you a lovely week! <3
