As promised, the new ranking for trending games is out now! This works a little differently to our other rankings, because whilst it still uses Steam reviews, it doesn't care whether they're positive or negative. We call this figure, the review velocity, which is the number of reviews per day. Furthermore, a game has to be released in the last 50 days for it to qualify as trending.
I originally wrote this ranking whilst working on the new Club 250 database but found the results so interesting I immediately wanted to release it on the Steam 250 site, which is why this new ranking has appeared today. In any case, work on the new site is progressing well.
It has been a bit of a slow year since, as you may recall, I needed to work full time to support myself. However, my job is coming to an end in March, so I will be working on the new site full time from that point on. Nevertheless, it is my intention to have something to show you before then; that is just the point from which development will accelerate significantly and I can't wait!
Happy New Year and here's looking forward to all the new things in 2020.
