July monthly update

It was time to have a taste of our own medicine! Why create a games ranking site if one never plays any games? After six months working on Steam 250 almost every day, including weekends, I burned out a little bit. Nevertheless, it's been receiving daily maintenance and a few bug fixes as things change over at Steam these past couple of months.

Most games I try these days, I play for at most an hour and never again. I had no greater expectations when I booted up Warframe for the first time, but then ended up playing it the whole month! It's been about a decade since I got addicted to a game that way, so that was a fun and nostalgic feeling. Warframe is what every unreleased space game wants to be, but probably never will, and after five years of free content updates there's a lot for new players to blast through. Highly recommended if you enjoy the idea of piloting your own ship through the solar system and completing mercenary missions.

Now that my obsession is over, it's time to turn attention back to Steam 250. You might notice daily updates do not complete at a consistent time and that's because I often have to nurse each update to completion manually by clicking retry buttons until one sticks. More work needs to be done to improve the reliability of updates to free up my time to work on new things. That said, I'm expecting at least one feature update this month: probably a curator update to include more rankings.
