Hanzo grumbled as he looked down, noticing how the one sprawling city of Hanumura was now barely at his ankles. The future head of the Shimada clan wondered what his brother was doing at this moment, probably hiding in their family compound or worse spending time in the city with his entourage.

So much for being in the shadows, Hanzo thought as he struggled to take his next step. A single inch left or right and he'd reduce one of the skyscrapers to rubble. And worse, he'd probably get his pristine dress shoes covered in debris with no house help to clean them off at the end of the day. At this height, it would probably take the entire block he was on to service his footwear properly.

As he pondered what to do next, the scion watched as hundreds of citizens fled from where he was standing. The impact zone where he was standing was like a wasteland, as the catastrophic growth had destroyed the street and flattened any cars in his path. He supposed that none of these people would actually be bold enough to contact him, since many in the city usually shied away from his presence when he was at a bar or hot spring.

From the corner of his eye, Hanzo spotted a helicopter from one of the news stations, probably broadcasting his imposing figure to everyone in Japan. He immediately felt annoyed and was ready to swat the chopper to the floor, but stayed himself. Things could be done… diplomatically lest everyone in this city wanted to be subjected to his wrath

“Leave immediately.” Hanzo ordered, turning towards the chopper that was making a beeline towards him. He chuckled as seeing everyone inside panic, taking a sharp turn as they tried to head towards him. It seems like his new height was good for something after all, perhaps he could use this to his advantage.

Without any hesitation, Hanzo spied a patch of road that was littered with dozens of abandoned cars and stepped down. He sighed slightly as he felt a distinct crunch of metal, barely resisting the path of his oxfords. A small part of him wanted to seek out more cars and repeat the same process as it was quickly becoming addicting, but there would be plenty of that later on.

“People of Hamamura, you would do well to avoid my step.  Also, you’ll find yourself soon obeying me like the pathetic pests you are.” Hanzo announced, as he swore that everyone in the city was waiting with bated breath. The thought of hundreds of thousands of people hanging onto his every word was simply intoxicating, more so than the finest whiskey he has sampled.

“And Genji, prepare yourself, I’m coming for you next.” Without fanfare, Hanzo made his way through the city, uncaring of the destruction he wrought as he had a little brother to bring to heel. Perhaps he could find a new position for the man cleaning his shoes, the people needed a leader after all.

Genji shivered as he heard Hanzo’s declaration on the TV, huddled in his room as he watched his now giant brother exert his will on the city. He wondered if he could escape the man, take a train to the airport and fly out of here before the giant showed up.

Yes, he could maybe make it to China and escape into other parts of Asia or Europe. He could also head to Bangkok as the beaches there were roaring with parties all year round. Hanzo may be large, but he couldn’t traverse the endless depths of the ocean, right?

However, he knew it would be a useless endeavour, once Hanzo put his mind to something he would see it through by any means necessary. He wondered just how far the other man would take this, since Genji knew he wasn’t power hungry or sadistic like others in the clan, but there was just something about Hanzo that made him shiver.

He would do anything for the clan to ensure that their family name did not fall with time. He distinctly remembered hearing through the grapevine at how his brother had coerced an American cowboy to spill all his intel. Genji had no idea what had happened to the man, but knew he was probably kept under thumb as assets like that would be useful long-term.

Eventually Genji acquiesced, thinking that maybe this would be better for the clan overall, finally having the power they’d want in Japan. Hanzo would probably let him go and do whatever he wanted as he had control over everything. Why would he want someone who was lazy and undisciplined having something handed to him?

Genji felt his heart freeze as heard a THOOM in the distance, wondering if it was his imagination or if his brother had already made it across the city. Dammit, he should’ve had more time to think and plan his next move. The youngest of the Shimada clan was not ready to deal with this, he needed to get out of here now.

Quickly packing a bag, Genji could feel himself slowly calming down as he grabbed his passport in some cash. No, Hanzo couldn’t be here already, it was just his brain playing tricks on him, that was it. He felt his heartbeat begin to slow as he thought this through, knowing the police or  even the military would cause issues for his brother. They wouldn’t take kindly to the suited man causing havoc and that delay would give him plenty of time.

Leaning against the wall, Genji slid down to the floor as he tried to center his thoughts, closing his eyes and focusing on his breathing. Ironically, it was one of the first things Hanzo taught him when they were learning combat techniques. To center his breathing and anticipate your opponent's next move. However, the youngest of the Shimada clan didn’t realize that a massive shadow had encompassed the state. It seemed that his older brother was here and any future plans he had were simply crushed underfoot.
