An apology

A few days ago I received a very special email titled: "I was an idiot in 2017 who left a shit message on one of your videos and I want to say I'm sorry"

There was a screen capture of the above message with the original comment and an updated comment left on the LGBTQuestioning video and a thoughtful message expressing remorse and gratitude. 

I asked this person if it would be okay to share this with you because you open minds with me. He consented.

Original comment: "I'm sorry but you are either born with an XY chromosome or XX chromosome. you may feel like you should of been born a man and that's fine it's. but you will only even be XX or XY. get over it"  

New Comment: "What I wrote in my original comment was formed from a perspective that had been warped by hearing about Trans lives from right-wingers on and off YouTube who wanted to misrepresent what Trans people believe and want. I no longer believe that and think that Trans People can be whatever they want and I will and have on and off the internet addressed them as such as I have formed new and better opinions based on interactions with other left-wing peoples. @sexplanations I give you credit for trying to reach me all those years ago but unfortunately my brain was too smooth in 2017 and whatever you would or could have said to me at the time would have just slid off on account of the lack of wrinkles...   I feel the need to write this as I am worried it could be seen by others and reinforce the belief that being Transphobic is ok, it's not, and if you are doing it stop; Because otherwise in 3-5 years' time you might be awoken in the middle of the night remembering a stupid YT comment you left. Also, you look like a prick who doesn't know what they are talking about"  If you are born XX and want to be a man, I'll call you a man, if you were born XY and want to be a woman, I'll call you that as well. There are of course intersex people who may differ from the binary XX/XY and I'll call them what they want to be called because I know better and I don't need to know someone's Chromosomes to treat them with the respect they deserve"  Also, the grammar in my original comment was atrocious, so that should tell you enough about past me and the comment they left transphobia aside.  Peace and love; fuck the Tories.
