I told the man on the phone that I was after a quiet classroom to use for the afternoon and he said 135 and asked with whom he was speaking. I said "Lindsey Doe" to which he replied, "Dr. Doe!" Well, that seemed fitting. So we headed over to the building with the camera equipment and decided on a set or sorts in room 135.
Room 135, the first classroom I taught mmmyyyyy first class in; the classroom where I stuffed toilet paper in the back of my pants and walked passed everyone to test the bystander effect; so many of my firsts!
It was so strange to be there and I began recounting my memories when I realized that my intern (who was with us at the time) was quite possibly in the class, a different one, where I stood in front of 200 students and said "penis" to catch the ASL sign for it. Indeed this was the case and I was again thrown by all the parallels and intersections of my day.
That's the back story which I feel you, my dear patrons deserve to know. It fills me with glee!
Warmly,
Lindsey
