2 WIP shots + Background references😁

Hello evreyone! I hope you are doing well! 😁

For this animated short I really want to push the visual of my video and give it a film look. Creating environments is one my favorite part of my videos, it allows great creativity.
To create my environements I like to use a reference to have a solid base.

It can be from anything, a fan art, a movie, a photo, an object,... etc almost anything. This is really cool because it can help to get a good level of details especially for realistic environments like I try to do here.

Of course it doesn't have to be 100% the same. It's nice to have some freedom to adapt it to your story.

So here in the first shot with Zelda and Impa I was inspired by the Artwork of A Link to the Past. As you can see this underground looks similar in terms of structure. I have a few reference to alttp in the video considering this is the next game coming after this in the timeline. This shot illustrate the fact that Zelda had to stay hidden from Ganondorf sight thanks to the help of Impa.

For the second shot I used an image from the movie Maleficent. I really liked the color and lighting and it was perfect for what I needed here so I tried to recreate something similar with a few changes. This shot will be more like a backstory and the relationship between Ganondorf and demons in general.
