Here’s a pretty big WIP update. I’ve (mostly) completed animating every scene, except for the intro, which I haven’t started yet. Some additional overlay animation might still be needed, and I need to do hair physics, lighting, facial animation, and fluid simulation.
For the outro here, I tried doing something different. I used some animations from Cyberpunk 2077, retargeted them onto my character rig. I noticed the anims were jittery—likely unused motion capture data that was never polished. I applied smoothing filters to fix this, then baked the animations onto my rig, saving each as an action. Afterward, I imported them into a new scene, sequenced them in the NLA editor, and baked the sequence. Then using the animation layers addon, I improved the animation, and fixed clipping and deformation issues. The final result is pretty sweet.
That may seem like a lot of work, but it’s still faster than manually animating it.
