Hi folks, just wanted to check in and let you know what's been going on behind the scenes. For those of you who took part in poll no doubt seen that Survivor won and as such I've been doing some more work on building the rooms from scratch to work in the RE2 engine. As you can see from the video it's coming along VERY well and is looking great. Best of all, everything I'm doing runs on the Sony PlayStation so it will allow an even bigger audience to experience and enjoy the mod.
I know many of you are eager for Episode 2 of Containment and believe me, I am too. Work on it has been going on too, a lot of it being visual which takes some time (Editing those backgrounds isn't as easy as you might think at times, ESPECIALLY with the masking layers...) but the only other thing that I'm waiting for is the new Classic Rebirth patch that is coming for RE1 that will feature DX9 and some much needed fixes.
One of the biggest issues with Classic Rebirth for Resident Evil is that it has serious issues on many graphics cards brands and some integrated ones where sprites don't render properly so you have large black boxes all over the screen, masks don't work properly and a whole host of other issues. This has come up many times to me with my mods and is unfortunately something that is out of my hands as it's down to the game using Direct Draw 3. As soon as the new patch comes out I'll dive back into finishing Episode 2 and maybe even jump into Episode 3 production too.
On top of all this I will also be contributing to some other projects such as 3lric's REvisited project, a second team project I can't talk about as of yet... and even helping others in the community such as Kawasake09 and BHE with some minor things.
2022 will be an amazing year to be a classic Resident Evil fan and I'm truly humbled and blessed to be apart of what's to come. Thank you all for everything and as always, my DM's are open to you all!
