Hi folks! Hope you're all doing well! I've been a rather busy bee this week working on some more experimental and engine related stuff. As you seen last week I was working a little on my tool for it to be useful for not just PC but also Sony PlayStation modding.
This lead me down a little rabbit hole of testing and experimentation and the amazing news is that I can do around 90% of what I do on a PC, on the actual Sony PlayStation console. The only limitations right now are custom FMV's, custom music and custom sound effects, however adding custom sound effects is possible soon.
Anyway, I just wanted to show you guys some footage of what I've been working on with these experiments starting with the Sony PlayStation port of 'Resident Evil: Survivor Redux'. The amazing thing about this, is that it opens the door for hundreds if not thousands more people to experience my mods since the Sony PlayStation can be emulated on just about every device out there.
Work on Episode 2 has also been going on too, it's just taking longer as this requires backgrounds and masks to be edited which is a time consuming process and that's without getting into the convoluted mess of SCD scripting I'm doing for it!
Anyways, I'll get a little test demo for the Sony PlayStation stuff out in a day or two. If any of you have original consoles that can load up disc images, or have emulators on your phones or other devices, please let me know as I'll be needing testers.
Finally, I have also been experimenting on porting the Resident Evil 1.5 rooms into the Resident Evil 2 engine on the Sony PlayStation. Here's some video footage of it in action: https://youtu.be/8IpHysrW1qE
