Resident Evil - Survivor DX (Mod) is a brand new mod for Resident Evil: Survivor on the Sony Playstation. It features many changes made in order to make the game feel more like a traditional classic Resident Evil game, rather than the arcade gameplay experience of the original.
This mod is compatible with all Sony Playstation emulators that support the original game and will also run on original Sony Playstation hardware!

========== Mod Changes ==========
1. Added a custom credits screen in the options menu. On the main menu select 'Options' and then scroll to the 'Mod Credits' option and select it. If you are recording a video or streaming the mod online, please be sure to show this screen before and after playing.
2. New Game can only be started with the Normal difficulty. This was done to provide a perfectly balanced difficulty for the mod.
3. The starting/maximum HP values have been lowered from 200 down to 140. This now makes enemies a greater threat to the player.
4. Removed the Load Game option from the menu since it is not required/compatible with this mod.
5. Handgun ammo is no longer infinite. You start with 30 handgun bullets and must find more throughout the game by searching rooms to create classic Resident Evil gameplay.
6. The number of continues has been lowered from 5 to 3. This was changed to provide a perfectly balanced difficulty for the mod.
7. The game has one fixed route from beginning to end in this mod. It will be expanded in future versions or in other future mods. The doors to alternate routes have been disabled in order to avoid possible issues.
8. Part of the HUD has been removed. The area that shows how many bullets are remaining in your weapon has been removed to create classic Resident Evil gameplay where you need to count every shot and check the item menu to keep track.
9. Some enemies have been removed from certain rooms and changed in others. This is done to create a more slower and immersive atmosphere like classic Resident Evil, rather than the frantic arcade gameplay of Survivor.
10. Items have also been changed in many rooms. You can pickup ammo and health in different locations providing a fresh pace for the game.
11. Weapons no longer automatically reload when going through doors. You now have to either use up the remaining ammo while shooting, or you can enter the item menu and reload there.
12. Weapons have been adjusted to have a slower firing-rate. This is to balance the gameplay as well as provide a more realistic experience.
13. Some Item names have also been changed.
========== Hints & Tips ==========
1. Explore - Make sure to check every room carefully before leaving as you may find many useful supplies such as health and ammo, which are vital to survive!
2. Conserve Ammo - Not every monster needs to be killed. While there are enough supplies to survive the nightmare, sometimes it pays off to avoid fighting!
3. See? Just Relax and Play - Take your time and enjoy the experience. While this mod may be on the shorter side, the amount of time it took to learn and make the custom scripts, features and assets was long. I always try my best to put passion, dedication and polish to my mods, no matter how long or small they are so people can enjoy a balanced, bug free experience.
