Food Illustrations! - Process Video + Challenge

Today I wanted to try something different, another topic you guys suggested: 'how to paint food illustrations.' So, this time, I chose different kinds of food and recorded the process for you to check out my approach for each.

The process is very simple and similar to my structure in character design. I define the shape with lines, apply colors, then values, and finally some extra values and details to enhance the render.

I have to say I was very happy doing these studies because it's been so long since I've painted food. I guess sometimes it's good to try different subjects to remember how fun painting is. So, I want to challenge you to have this same fun by painting an apple. Feel free to add a unique twist to your apple and post it in the #sketch channel of our Discord. Every artist posting their apple painting or sketch will win 20 SP. Have fun!
