Here's the 4 stages of turbines. Lost of the buildings in this mod will generate some heat fluid. No matter if you want to go by burning stuff, renewables or nuclear/fusion..in the end all of them probably will provide some kind of heat and you can use it to make steam for these turbines for energy or use it direct-to-energy in futuristic converters. Each method have pros and cons, for example, burnables you have energy density and lots of pollution, renewables relays on instability and lots of space, but zero pollution, nuclear will need advanced chains and materials, but no pollution and great stability etc etc.
