As some people may have heard already, Patreon is making drastic changes to their subscription system. They're forcing everyone to switch to rolling subscription billing rather than first-of-the-month or per-creation billing. Fortunately this doesn't affect me too much. But more concerning is that with the way they handled it (and for various other reasons I won't go into here) it's starting to look like Patreon might ban adult work sometime in the next year or so.
I'm planning to stay on Patreon for as long as I can at this point. I don't have any plans to move to another subscription service. But as I look ahead and realize that this method of earning a living may disappear soon, I want to take advantage of the time I've still got.
I'm going to focus my attention to a project I've been thinking about for a few years now. I've had an idea for a porn game I want to try and develop. I'm going to be a little mum about the details until I have time to make progress on it to see if it's feasible. But if it does work out I think it could be a lot of fun. I'll release more details after I've had a chance to develop it further.
Anyway, I've reached a point where I need to try making it, or I'm going to regret it for the rest of my life. It might not work out, but I gotta give it a shot.
My plan is to spend the next year or so on creating a vertical slice / proof-of-concept version that is fully playable, though probably not very long. If it proves to be popular enough I'll keep going with it or maybe try to kickstart it properly.
It will require me making a variety of characters in 3D, which is what my focus is going to be over the next few months. One great thing about this is even if the game itself doesn't work out, the process will give me more characters to use in animations later on. Not to mention a lot of experience building 3D character models which will be a huge boon later if I start taking 3D character commissions. (Like say, when I get banned from Patreon.)
I don't know if I need to "announce" this necessarily, since I'm already doing more with 3D. But I thought it might be nice to give everyone something to look forward to and just let you know what I've been thinking about. :>
Anyway, over the next few months I'll probably be doing a lot with building new character models so you can expect to see more of that.
