In my quest to create the best possible models I can for VAM, I have learned more of what my tools can do, and have stopped relying on ZBrush to do everything. Being able to incorporate Blender into the pipeline and using substance painter to bake textures allows me to produce a model with a much higher level of detail, with greater precision in less time. There's no refinement period when something is measured and looks clean automatically, so polymodelling in Blender is a much better solution for the mechanical parts of this model. I have more experience doing that anyway. I'd fallen into the trap of "Doing it all in ZBrush is just easier." but it's definitely not better. I hope to be making some real progress now. Thanks for being patient, it will be worth it.
