Wheely shit part 2

Joe was going to send me a new CRW rear wheel but apparently there is a stock issue (read, QC backlog). So i wanted to fix what i had on hand and finish the testing. This is how i sorted the centerlock thread on the CRW - an older cheaper Steel lockring (they come with the cheap Shimano mtb discs) and some thread cutting compound. After about 10 goes of reaming it in an out, the thread was just about good enough to bottom the lockring. The steel lockring is pretty beat now and will be going in the bin. You can see the extent of the thread cutting in the hub! I then did the aero test against the Megas. Spoiler - both are the fastest wheels I've tested. Faster than the d67s. HOWEVER, later on the ride I was walloping it up some very steep punchy bergs around my local area and in some high torque low speed events the rear freehub was sounding very unhappy making some very loud pinging sounds. Video coming up. Chain, cassette, chainrings are all brand new. Chain is waxed freshly yesterday.
