WARNING!
Dear reader/viewer I have to warn you that this blog post will contain a lot of images but I hope you'll enjoy viewing them all carefully rather than quickly scrolling through!
53 photos might seem like a lot, but you need to know I really did my very best picking only best of the best and then my favourite ones, still ended up with this number! I know I could have done a better job and decide if positioning of cigarette is more important than a messy fringe and really get into details but I followed my heart and I will show you all of them, my favourite for different reasons photos from the shoot with Megan!
A year or so ago I started following new British magazine, many of photographers I followed back in a day was contributing for them, probably that's how I heard about it. It wasn't just another cheap, tacky magazine for horny men, it was all visually pleasant to view even though it's completely not my style I can admire each of the shots, amazing locations, cool outfits, awesome ideas and each photographer's unique style. Yes, you guessed it, this is how I spotted Megan. I thought "that girls is awesome!" despite being all glam and provocative on most of her photos I perceived her as a classical, timeless beauty. So I hit that follow button and one day messaged her if she was up for a shoot sometime and to my surprise she said that she would love to and I could really see this! We spoke about ideas that actually we both had the same and she took the biggest burden off of my shoulders and solved the location problem! I don't know London very well so I was searching places and air bnbs that we could use for a shoot I even used Google street view to discover London a bit more! Thanks to Megan we shot at VENTH Studio, amazing place, different rooms and private roof top and the weather to use it was just right! Well, hot and sunny so not just right but it was amazing!
For some reason I got quite nervous before the shoot, don't really know where it came from to be honest so I just thought to myself that I have to be me and do what I normally do. And it worked. Knocked on the door, the owner of the studio Brian opened, showed me around and shortly after Megan joined us in her big Docs, ripped jeans and big smile! Until this moment I only had a little sketch of what and how I want to capture her. After a handshake I knew exactly what I'm going to do and I knew this will be my favourite and maybe best shoot I've done! Sometimes you just have to see the model in person to visualize ideas in your head and then transfer them to your camera. What I really wanted to avoid was photographing her in the glamour way. I wanted to show realness, innocence, little bit on intimacy. And I think I did it, maybe that's why I was a little scared before shoot, scared that my photos will be like everyone else's, soul-less and cold.
I couldn't be happier with the results! I've spent amazing day with amazing people!
