Yulia pt. III, I guess

Kinda odd title but I didn't even realise that my last shoot was actually with Yulia so I'm naming it pt.III even though it's a completely separate shoot, that took me forver to organise and put together.

I'm suffering to complete lack of time recently and organising a photoshoot is very costly, not money wise but my personal life in all its meaning, never thought my life will be so chaotic but here we go...

From here I would like to apologise to everyone who still remains subscribed to me on here even though I don't post regularly or even at all these past few last months but hopefully that's gonna change soon and I will be able to shoot more often and enjoy it!

NOW, about the shoot, it wasn't suppose to look like this at all haha

No, seriously! I just saw her instagram post with similar hair and styling and thought it will look good in my lens so I just reached out to Yulia asking if she wants to shoot this exact styling with me, lol, and she agreed haha.

The first photos you see on the white backdrop is the original idea what I wanted to do, originally I wanted to have it in black and white but then the more I stared at them the more they were lacking and decided on color. (NOTE TO PHOTOGRAPHERS: This is something I started doing at some point. I used to be so excited with the shoot and I would come home, edit and post the same day. Due to excitement I was blind to flaws in photos, composition, editing, details. These days I still am excited, I still edit the same day if I can but I DO NOT post them anymore, I wait, look at them, I look at them a lot actually and try boosting the edit, experimenting a little more or even try completely different rout and I think my photos gained a lot quality due to this) Which I think actually looks a lot better even though I had to drop my initial idea about edit, format and post idea.

Everything else after these photos if more or less freestyle, I liked the styling, very basic and simple so I thought I will make it extra with a lighting, strong lighting with a statement haha and actually one of my favourite ways to lit a subject.

didn't have anything prepared in my head to be honest I was absolutely blank in my head how to make that look awesome and my thought process was actually this: Ok, she wants some normal photos for herself, for insta or whatever so I will do my job as best as I can and I will make sure the photos don't look boring or basic. Used my favourite lighting set up, taking few pictures, showing them to her so she knows what it looks like and she goes "Ooooooooohhhh" and it was the best "Ooohh" I've heard in a while haha, I think she just thought, maybe this guy can take photos for real haha it was this kind of oohh. After that I knew we're gonna cook that day! I just said, just you do you, I will correct the pose, stop it or ask to repeat it and she just went absolute FIRE mode. I wasn't even looking at posing at one point just on her facial expression to make sure everything up there is playing the same game as everything below it. I've learned that with time too.

When it comes to that crazy part of the shoot, to be honest with you none of us were thinking that this is what we will be doing that day. She brought a lot of neckless' so I thought let's put them all on. Let's see how it's gonna look... looked alright, but was silly than cool. then I spotted something like a traffic cone but for exercise so an exercise cone? and put it on one of the lamps and worked like a gel (this studio has no color gels that's why I improvised with the cone) and my vision was born that moment: everything you see there except the bottom, I just wanted black underwear but she goes 'well I only have white... wait, I have an idea' and she comes back all taped up haha. Not gonna lie, I dind't even think about this and it looked epic!
