Here’s a New Patreon Update: “They’re going to start charging an extra 30% on all subscriptions purchased through the iOS app.”
So, here’s my advice: You can still use the iOS app to browse Patreon, but when it comes to subscription/purchases, hop over to the Patreon website. That way, you won’t end up paying a bonus fee to Apple just for the privilege of using their storefront. (I mean, unless you're really into donating to trillion-dollar companies.🙃)
Like you, I’ve been absolutely thrilled (heavy sarcasm) with all the wonderful changes Patreon has rolled out recently, but truth be told, this is still the best platform I’ve found to share my work and let you amazing people support me. That said, I’ve set up a Ko-fi as a backup plan in case Patreon decides to really outdo themselves one day.
But I'll be here for as long as I possibly can. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you all so much for being here and supporting me in doing what I love. ❤️
