Hi all!

Last month I had only uploaded 3 maps, this map can be counted as the 4th map of January, so there will still be coming 4 maps this month after this one!

About the map

The checkpoint is controlled by government police forces. It is not heavily armed and there are no military present because the checkpoint is located in the inner city and not in or near an active war zone. Despite this, there are a few weapons to be found in the buildings, as well as defensive measures that are in place in case of lock down or otherwise unwanted guests.

Tips on how to play the map

In the middle of the road are 6 pillars that are hidden in their shafts underground for now, but can be shot up into position very quickly in order to stop an advancing vehicle or perhaps even block it, preventing it to escape. 

Just before the checkpoint, there is a thin and barely noticeable cable drawn straight across the road. Cars can drive over it without a problem, but the cable is actually laden with explosives, enabling the guards stationed there to blow up that part of the road, and any vehicles driving over it, if they wish to do so.

Still, it is a standard city checkpoint, where usually nothing happens and the days are quite boring. There are no barbed wire fences, and to allow for some sneaking I have left some places open to allow players to sneak or walk around the buildings. Cover should be easy to find in this map.

General info and variants

Unfortunately, I was not able to make perspective images as the tool I use for that was not working correctly at the moment. I'll hope to be able to fix it soon!

The variants of this map are quite cool, I like the look and feel of the 'Apocalypse' one the most, it's one of my favorite themes. Next to it we have 'Forest' and 'Desert' variants for sessions that are run in either of those biomes.
