Hi everyone!
I'm back from my holiday in Japan, and have been working on this map since then! It took a little bit longer than I had initially planned, but I'm happy with the result and I hope you like the map enough so it was worth the wait!

 

Inspiration and story

The map is very heavily inspired by the Biotechnica Flats from Cyberpunk 2077.
I still haven't played the game, but I found screenshots of it while researching some reference images for this idea. I have heard that the game has improved immensely since it was released, and with the addition of the new content pack I should really finally give it a go..

Since this is pretty much a direct re-creation of the area from the game, I think it would be fitting to use the description from the official Cyberpunk 2077 wiki:

"Not every Night Citizen knows (and few probably even think about it all), but most of the stuff they call "meat" actually comes from protein farms. No matter if it's "beef" ramen at the market in Kabuki, or some shish kebab in Westbrook, or a burger in Heywood – they all start on the farm. Most "meat" products are derived from mass-farmed worms, which are ground into a meat-like substance known as scop. (Although the SCOP acronym originally stood for "Single-Celled Organic Protein", it has evolved into an umbrella term for many synthetic-meat and meat-adjacent products.) This scop base product is then shipped off to be pumped full of dyes and flavorings for a variety of products on the market. After all, it takes a little work to "beef up" those bugs"

More Custom maps!

I have received so many amazing suggestions and ideas when I asked you guys for some inspiration in this earlier post, that I have many maps already lined up based on your ideas.

I'm working on taking my maps to the next level by increasing their production quality, and truly give them that custom feel that makes them unique and special. I will definitely be creating more surveys and ask you all what kind of maps you would like to see!

I've gotten better at using Blender to model my own 3d designs, such as with the greenhouse tents for this map. Below some screens to how that process looks. This greenhouse is a direct re-creation of the ones you can see in Cyberpunk 2077.

Variants

Night - Night variant, lights are set up to keep operations running 24/7
Military Base - Area has been walled off, and tents are converted to buildings looking more like a military barracks.
Research - These facilities focus primarily on researching botanical topics
Sci-Fi - All-purpose Sci-Fi base, which can be used for many different operations
