The Eye - D20 / Advantage

You can feel the heat emanating from the lava and rock formation in the forest, the ground and trees surrounding the lava is burnt and damaged. The formation closely resembles the symbol of an eye, what does it mean and what has caused this to happen?

These maps are 8000 x 8000 pixels and the gridded versions use a 180x180 pixel grid.
