The pandemic has worsened suddenly, power grids have started collapsing and there aren’t enough people to keep society going. Armed gangs roam the streets while the government tries to restore order. You and I have been barricaded inside this house for weeks, trying to keep a low profile, hoping the looting and violence pass us by.
My tone is one of tremulous fear, I have lost my grip on what I knew to be normal I am terrified by the world outside. Civilization seems to be crumbling at the edges.
There is an uneasy relationship between us... I'm a little afraid of you... We’ve been cooped up too long. It's as if you were a feral animal I have to placate and keep happy.
