I woke up to the sun streaming through the cracks of my wooden blinds, the birds chirping and the ducks and geese just singinggg outside today. I also awoke with purpose because I knew that I'd have a few hours to record and have some fun, so I did exactly that. I created some custom content this morning, as well as a new audio to be posted on Reddit soon! I also did grown-up things like folded and put away laundry and what not, but that's boring :p
I've decided that I really want to lean into this new creative outlet (old-new? new-old?). The problem I had before was that I constantly felt like I wasn't good enough to share my content on GWA and so I would regularly second-guess myself, delete posts, stop 20 minutes into a recording because of a noise I made while enjoying myself and then get discouraged and stop. The reality is that no one was judging me nearly as harshly as I was judging myself, and in the many times since then that I have tried to get back into regular posting I have talked myself out of it almost immediately for exactly the same reasons. BUT I'm not that girl anymore. I don't doubt myself anymore because I know that my freaky, fun, creative mind has only ever brought me good things, and somehow it has made other people happy too - and that's the best feeling in the world.
So I'm back. I'm committed. I'm enjoying it and I plan to get increasingly more into it as time goes on, because nothing feels quite as fulfilling to me as satisfying myself and my listeners all in one fell swoop. ;p
