The method I found yesterday of combining two stories into one seems to work and I've now started the process of implementing it on Miss-Adventures. This means tons of boring copy-paste work, but with every passage I take out of the original game, it becomes faster again which is amazing.
Apart from the performance increase, it also allows me to organize everything way better. I can separate the actual game mechanics from the content now which will make development so much more pleasant! It does make testing a bit slower as I have to compile the two into one each time I want a test run.
This definitely got me more excited again. I will probably need a few days to restructure the game and copy-paste all the story content to the second story but after that I think I'm ready to add a new feature again. I'll probably do a poll and let you guys decide what that feature will be!
