Guys, I've been thinking about making a change with my patreon strategy.
By that, I mean: I no longer will be hosting any of my files on Patreon - I will store all the artwork on my HDD, and at the end of the month I will provide the files with my works in one zip to my active patrons via a link on e-mail.
I have good reasons for this change: my patreon has been ripped for years and my entire content is shown out without my knowledge and permission. Basically, I have no control over my own content. I spoke with the patreon staff and other patreon creators about my discovery, who advised me to make that change.
This change with the content will start on August 1st: hopefully, all of you will read it now and will understand what I'm planning.
This is how it should work:
I'll be working as usual - the top-tier patrons will get their requests on time, and I will take commissions as usual. My comics and other illustrations will be sorted along with the commissions and the requests in a file and none of you will be able to see these until the 27th of each month (let us say 3 days before the end of each month). The monthly content will be zipped and uploaded on Dropbox - and I will provide a link to all my active patrons through the Patreon Direct Message system.
The monthly content Zip File will remain there for 3 days - a time that should be enough for the active patrons to download the content from the provided link.
Please don't miss the 3-day window, because on 1st day of the next month, the files won't be there and I will not provide them unless you're $10 or $25 tier and you're staying for the next month.
The patrons who pledge $10 will be able to get content from previous months.
1 zip with monthly content of their choice - 1 for each month.
I will not put any content for sale on GUMROAD after August 1st, 2023. They rip even gumroad. I know of 3 sites, where all my content from the last couple of months and even the current one is sorted and shown. I won't get into details, I'm just giving you directly the solution I choose to make.
On August 1st, all the stuff you see inside now will be removed, gone - and my patreon will look empty - just a tip jar, where I will be writing only news and announcements about updates.
Guys, if you plan to stay with me after this announcement, then you know that nothing much will change, except for the way I will provide the content. I do this because I want to have better control over my content. I'm not paranoid, I want to make my campaign go and serve me better.
