Okay, guys - this one is really "f***d up". I first heard of that thing from the "Grand Tour" TV show, season 3.  At first, I thought that they are joking because they joke all the time, and sometimes is really hard to find out when they are serious and when not - but then I googled it and it all seems to be true.
Colombia is known not only for Pablo Escobar, murdering people, and smuggling cocaine in the US direction but also for the hypos - which are not native to these lands. Again Pablo's fault - a fact I knew long before I see this episode of "Grand Tour". In conclusion - I can't tell if that's a culture or could be a part of a culture, but for sure it's not cool in one's country to be known for these.
Of course if we're curious about it and just ask google we would read that Colombia is known for:
1. Her Emerald mines.
2. Her jungles are home to a lot of organisms and animal species (not only donkeys)
3. It has over 60 parks
4. The last decades the crimes were significantly reduced - and now  Colombia is a popular tourist destination
5. Tons of flowers grow in there - and thus Colombia is home to different species of orchids
